MATE Seminars Risk and Mitigation Seminar

The MATE Seminars Group and Health Risk Mitigation (RM) seminar will be held from Mar. 20-22 on a virtual platform. The seminar includes a review of all syllabus readings. The focus is on exam-type questions, with the primary emphasis being on math questions.

The seminar includes:

  1. Instant access to a pre-recorded version of this season’s seminar, available by February 1st, 2024 (request access from instructor)
    • Each chapter has a detailed video explanation for a more slow-paced learning experience
    • Challenging chapters will also have a shortened video for a quick review and explanation of the main points
  2. Admittance to the live seminar, along with the seminar outline and full practice problem set
  3. Access to “MATE Reference Content”, an archive of content that can be used to learn more about challenging topics including, but not limited to:
    • Summaries of relevant papers previously on the syllabus
    • Summaries of helpful papers currently on other exams’ syllabi

    • A lookup tool to help you find past exam questions that are currently on your exam

Dustin has a diverse array of work experience including benefits consulting, health insurance actuarial roles, experimental design statistician, and a university instructor. Dustin enjoys discussing how math and models combine to explain occurrences in our everyday world. He has earned a master’s degree in Statistics with an emphasis in Actuarial Science. He is in his seventh year of teaching with MATE Seminars, and teaches all of the Group and Health seminars. When not at work, Dustin loves being active outside, practicing yoga, and riding motorcycles.
